The Referral Dashboard is where your referral partners can view the leads you’ve referred to them. The dashboard helps both the referring firm and the referred-to firm keep track of the status of referred leads.
When leads are referred to your firm by referral partners who actively use Lead Docket, all referred leads from that firm will exist on the Referral Dashboard.
Note: Referral partners do not need to have Lead Docket to use this dashboard.
How to View the Referral Dashboard
- Open any email sent through Lead Docket about a referred lead (Including the Referral Report Email).
- Click View your Referral Dashboard to view and update all leads from [firm name] at the bottom of the email.
This link takes you to the Referral Dashboard, where you can view lead details and update the status of leads.
Referred Leads List
The Referral Dashboard lists all leads that have been referred to you.
These leads can be separated into three referral statuses:
- Pending Review: The lead has not been looked at by the firm yet. They have not agreed to move forward with the lead yet but have also not declined.
- Reviewing: The firm is pursuing the lead to find out if they have a good case
- Accepted: The lead is signed up and is now the firm's client
Click on the buttons in the top left to filter the leads by these referral statuses.
Search, Sort, and Reorder
You can search the leads by using the search box in the top right corner.
Sort the referred leads list by any column. Click on a column to sort by that column. An arrow appears in the column header to indicate the sorting direction. Click on the column header again to reverse sort, and again to stop sorting by that column.
Click on the vertical ellipsis menu next to a column to view options to filter by that column. Click Choose Columns to choose the order of your columns. You can also deselect a column to remove it from view.
The column settings will remain in place even if you navigate away from the page and come back. Click Reset Columns to reset the order and view.
Lead Details
Click on a lead to update the referral status and to view the lead’s details like notes, files, and activity.
Update the Referral Status
When you update the status, the firm that referred this lead to you will be able to see the update.
When you click on a lead in the Pending Review or Reviewing status, you have three options for updating the referral status:
- Reviewing: You are reviewing the lead. This lead will be moved to the "Reviewing" status, or will remain in “Reviewing” status.
- Accepted: The lead is accepted and will be moved to the "Accepted" status.
- Declined: The lead has been declined and will no longer appear on the dashboard.
When you click on a lead in the Accepted status, you have three options for updating the referral status:
- In Progress: The case is still in progress and will remain in the "Accepted" status.
- Settled/Closed: The case has been settled / closed. The lead will no longer appear on the dashboard.
- Declined: The lead has been declined by the firm and will no longer appear on the dashboard.
Notes, Files, and Activity
Under the status change option, you can view the lead’s activity, attached files, and details.
To attach files to the referred lead, click + Add File under the Files header.
