Set-Up
Step 1: You first need to generate API keys via CallRail. Follow CallRail’s instructions for generating API keys.
Step 2: Add the CallRail account info to Lead Docket. The account info can be added by going to Manage > Settings and clicking on the Integrations in the top bar. Find the CallRail Account section below and fill out the fields.
Step 3: Add Pre-Call and Post-Call webhooks in CallRail to these URLs. Follow CallRail’s documentation for adding these webhooks. Swap out the [hostname] in the following URLs with your own Lead Docket hostname.
- Pre-Call Web hook URL: https://[hostname].leaddocket.com/Opportunities/CallRailStartCall
- Post-Call web hook URL: https://[hostname].leaddocket.com/Opportunities/CallRailEndCall
Step 4: Add the CallRail numbers to Lead Docket’s Phone Numbers section. You can associate each CallRail number with the appropriate marketing and contact sources. Learn more about adding CallRail phone numbers.
Note: When you create a lead with a matching phone number within 4 days of a call recording, it is linked to that lead automatically. In addition, the marketing and contact source on the lead will be updated to match the settings on the phone number dialed.
For example, if you get a call from a client who tells you they found you on television but they called on your Adwords number, Lead Docket will associate that call recording and update the marketing source to "Adwords" when the lead is saved. If the caller gives you a different number than they called in on, Lead Docket won't be able to associate the call recording with the lead.
