This article discusses how to assign roles to lead statuses. This article does not cover assigning roles to users. Learn how to assign user roles.
The Basics
Lead Docket Admins can customize the roles that are assigned to each lead status. When a role is assigned to a lead status, the lead can be assigned to a user with that role. For example, if you want to assign a lead to an attorney once it reaches a certain status, you can make the Attorney role required for that status.
Once a role has been assigned to a status, and you select that status on the Change Status form, the Assigned to [Role] field will appear on the form.
Clicking Assign To will open a dropdown containing all users with that role. If the Assigned to [Role] field has an asterisk beside it, you must select a user before proceeding.
Manage Role Assignments
In the main menu, click Manage > Statuses to navigate to a list of all leads statuses. Click on the desired lead status to open it, and scroll down to the Visibility on Roles section.
In the Visibility on Roles section, you can manage role assignments for the selected lead status. Click on the dropdown menu below a role to edit that role’s assignment. Select an option to make the role invisible, optional, or required for that lead status.
